The Rice-Ball Day

Today was the rice-ball day, we went to the EJ corner to rub sticking rice with foreign students. We were divided into six team, and I was the pink team.
The junior taught us how to rub the rice ball, but after awhile we made different shapes of the rice, it wasreally fun, and it was also a good chance to talk with foreigner and make new friends, but.........

Shane, a foreign student, one of the pink team; he was very shy, he didn'tt take any picture, but so am I......
Actually, I want to talk with others, and to make new friends, but I just stop it ! And talk to my friends.

I know it's nothing to be afraid, but I just can't, and it's not good!

When we came back to flat, my friend told me that Mr. Lin played the guitar and sang songs!!
Oh! I really want to listen to Mr. Lin singing!!!

Keep Walking..... (part 2.)

After the exam we went to find something to eat because there were few restaurants and most were closed, but it was 3:00pm, we suffered for hunger….oh!
Finally, we found one……….

After lunch we waited for the bus, but it was so cold, the chilly wind flowed, and we didn’t know when the bus will arrive; we waited for a while and became nervous, and we thought “When the bus will come? It’s so cold! I can’t stand! Maybe we can walk back, it’s not far from Hsuan Chuang University to school, yeah! Let’s do it!”
(And then…..two fools walked, walked, walked,…..,and walked. During the walking they chatted happily, and they believed that they would arrive soon, this was the most important thing. P.s. during the walking they saw the bus two times)
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.Finally, we arrived!! Happy!!!....................(it took 50min.)

Finally!!!

It was really a special experience!!

Keep Walking..... (part 1.)

Today, Ruth and I went to the Hsuan Chuang University to participate in an examination. The examination was at 1:00pm, so we took the bus to Hsuan Chuang University at 12:05 because we wanted to find the examination room first, and then we had lunch there. But, it was so hard to find, we asked many people, but they didn't know the examination, and the place wasn't marked on the admission ticket, so………….it took a long time. Finally, we saw there were several students came over, and we thought “they must go to the exam room, what ever, just follow our intuition!” and then we asked them, fortunately, they were! And we followed them, and found the room, but we had no time to had lunch.

Animals Taiwan

Their purpose are improving the livelihood and treatment of animals in Taiwan; they find solutions for the problem of pet overpopulation through educational activities, adoption efforts and outreach programs.
They'll find new owners for the pets which thir owners don't want them.

Animal Issues 2.

I think it’s acceptable because if the penalty is too lenient, people won’t obey it, and people will think that animals are their toys; people can buy them in the stores easily when they really want to get one, and when people don’t like the animals anymore, then they just throw it! If the penalty is strict, then people will afraid themselves will be punished if they do the wrong things like abandon their dogs or abuse their cats, and people will avoid it, and they will consider carefully before they raise the animals. For example, I really want a dog because it’s so cute, and I can play with it, we can go walking and jogging together, but after I saw the video which was posted by Jeff, I feel scary and I won’t buy a dog because I’m afraid that I just think it’s fun to me now, but if some day I don’t interested it any more, what can I do? What will it be? How much do I have to pay if I do the bad things? Then, people will know the animals are not the human beings’ toys, they’re lives!
Maybe we should register for the animals like babies; we should go to the household registry to register when the baby born; there’re our families’ names, relationship in the household registration, and then the baby is one of the family members, I think the animals are also should be treated like this.

The Beautiful People

According the reports that beautiful people is easier to be successful because of the first time impression and the self-recognition; beautiful people are easier to get others’ help, and then they have the smoother life than others.

Maybe it’s the reason for people to take the cosmetic surgery to be prettier, more attractive!

But, what’s the definition of the beautiful people?

If a person is beautiful, but she is always regardless other people, what she cares about is herself. Is she a beautiful people?
If someone has a good figure, but she is unsatisfied; she thinks that is not enough, and feels unhappy. Could we say she is a beautiful people?

Maybe you’ll say “like林志玲 (she is the top model of Taiwan; she has a slender body), she’s beautiful!” but in the ancient China age, people thought楊貴妃 (she was a queen of the Tang Dynasty; she was very fat and had good, white skin), so what is beauty?
I think people change their minds in the different age, and their faces are also be changed because the fashion flows fast, and people will get old, then the “beauty” which we consider is uncertain and replaceable.

I think the "beautiful people" means an attitude, a feeling; they always have positive thinking, and always smiling, and very friendly; people feel very happy and relaxing to be with them.

And....it's IRREPLACEABLE!

The Tennis Exam

Happy!! Today is so happy because my tennis mid-exam was pass! Ya!
This morning my friend and I went to the court to practice at 7:30 am (the class was at 8:30 am) because I was so nervous that I can't pass the exam ( I prepared for the exam which was English and American literature this week, so I didn't practice the tennis); after we arrived to the court, for a while, the teacher came, he said “oh! You're early today!” my friend said “yeah! She wants to practice!” the teacher said “oh! Great! Yeah, more practice and you’ll be better! Good luck!” then I continued my practice and nervous……..
Finally, when the teacher called my name to take the exam, I think “it's coming! Go!” and then…….I passed! Yes! And the teacher told me “you deserve it!” I was so happy!

Music-----True Colors

You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged
Oh I realize It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small
But I see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show Your true colors
True colors are beautiful Like a rainbow
Show me a smile then
Don't be unhappy can't remember
When I last saw you laughing
If this world makes you crazy
And you've taken all you can bear
You call me up Because you know I'll be there
And I'll see your true colors Shining through
I see your true colors
And that's why I love you
So don't be afraid to let them show
Your true colors
True colors are beautiful Like a rainbow

Questions

1. Copying a few pages from Wikipedia and turning it in as your assignment. A: If you remark these pages are from Wikipedia, then it’s not cheaing. (cheating)
2. Asking someone else to write a few paragraphs of your paper for you—but you still do most of it. A: If that person agree with you to use it, then it’s not cheating.(cheating)

Unit 2:

1. In your opinion or experience, why do some students chose to cheat? What are some of the different reasons students give? Do you know people who cheated in high school or college? (you can respond generally. I am not looking for names).
1. Because they didn’t study very hard but they want to get good grades or pass the test, they don’t want to be failed. So they choose to cheat.
2. Yes, in my high school, one of my classmates, he always has problems when teacher send the exam paper, his papers always have problems (he said he should get more higher grades because teachers made mistakes, actually, he changed his wrong answer to correct one), finally, teachers copied his paper before they send him, and when he saw his wrong answer of copied paper, he couldn’t say anything.

2. In the US if you were caught plagiarizing assignments you would immediately be given a failing grade. You could also be immediately expelled from the university for “academic dishonesty”. Since the reason you were expelled would be written on your transcripts, every other university you applied to would know you once got caught cheating. What types of punishment are generally given for cheating on exams or class work in Taiwan? Do you think these punishments are a sufficient deterrent to cheating? What do you think the punishment should be?
In Taiwan, If you get caught cheating, you’ll get zero in that exam, and be recorded a demerit, but you can do some campus service to correct it, I think it’s not enough, maybe we should follow the punishment of the US, I think if people know they will be engraved the “academic dishonesty” and no one will accept it, then they’ll be scared of the punishment, and not cheating.

3. You will have to think creatively for your answer here: Even with the threat of severe punishment, the readings above indicate that cheating is still a problem. One reason is because students naturally assume they will get away with it and won’t get caught. Therefore, severe consequences probably won’t be enough, by themselves, to stop students from cheating (if you don’t think you will get caught, it’s easy to ignore the possible consequences). What can be done? What real solutions should be tried? Are teachers and students in perpetual race to see who can get trickier? What other solutions can be tried to stop cheating? Be specific with your suggestions.
Maybe teachers can limit students only take their pens to the class room on the exam, and students’ seat had be arranged (we don’t know who sits next to us), and take a video tape during the exam.

4.Read the following examples of plagiarism and the action that was taken because of it at one American university. Do you agree with the punishment

I don’t agree with that. Because I think suspending one-quarter is too much, they don’t have chance to correct their mistakes, maybe the teachers can deduct the cheating students’ scores, punish them do more community service and tell them be honest and don’t do that again, otherwise they will get the most strictest double punishment! And they have no chance. On the other hand I think maybe teachers should pay attention to the process of students’ learning and attitudes not just a paper, maybe it can make students know their attitudes are the most important things, and it can’t be replaced by other people, just their own!

3.Google the words “Fired for plagiarism”. List three examples of people who have lost their jobs for plagiarism. Make a brief summary of them a

1. Madonna G. Constantine, the former professor of psychology and education at Columbia University’s Teachers College, she was fired for plagiarizing the work of two her former students and a former colleague.
2. A freelance TV producer plagiarized passages(“ran into the fire”) from “The West Wing” has been let go by NBC Universal Sports
3. Hiroshi Kobayashi, the chief editorial writer of a local Japanese newspaper, he was fired for copying at least 15 editorials from other papers.

2.What are the six possible punishments you can get at the University of Washington for plagiarism? (Hint: you don’t have to read the whole thing. R

The six possible punishments I can get at the University of Washington for plagiarism are Disciplinary Warning, Reprimand, Restitution, Disciplinary Probation, Suspension and Dismissal.

1.What is the penalty for plagiarism at Stanford University?

The penalty for plagiarism at Stanford University : the penalty for a first-time violation of the Honor Code is a one-quarter suspension and 40 hours of community service. If the student is in his/her final quarter of enrollment the standard practice is to convert the one-quarter suspension into a two-quarter delay in the conferral of the degree.

A Full Day

My friend and I planed to go to the 洋香菜(the cake buffet), so today, the two little fools took the bus to the downtown to find the restaurant in the rainy day. There’re so many people in the downtown, in Sogo, in the book store, in the bus, in everywhere, and we couldn’t breathe when we in the bus. We walked for a long time, and we couldn’t find the restaurant, so we changed our plan, we went to the 城隍廟(the Cheng Huang temple) to eat 滷肉飯(the rice with slice meat; It’s so delicious and cheap, my Japanes teacher's favorite), 蚵仔煎(Fried Oyster with Egg), 紅豆糕(Adzuki bean - rice cake; It’s homemade, I think it’s fresh and delicious, but my friend think it makes her want to drink water, it’s too dry), and 竹塹餅(Hsinchu cake; There’re two kinds of flavor, the orange and the original, my friend and I both love the original one).

Today is a wonderful day(actually a full day)!

Do Not Think Too Much

Today, my friend told me "don't be so anxious!", I said "I'm not used to be that!" she said "yes! you're not! what's wrong with you?" I said "yeah! I'm really don't know what I'm doing! I have too many assignments to do, the mid-exam is coming, but I'm finished yet!" she said " be happy! don't think too much, just do it!" I said "you're right! why do I think so much! everyone is the same, we all have to do the assignments and study for the exam,so I don't have to worry about it" then I feel much better now. :)

Do everything hard and don't be afraid!

I’m stressed out!

The Different Frankenstein

Today our literature teacher asked us “we know that people hate the monster because he’s ugly and very scary, so he did the bad things, but if people treat the monster well, what the monster will be? (In the Frankenstein) “I think the whole story will be different, the monster will be a good monster like a good boy, he will love to help people do many things, and his supernatural power will be appropriate on the right things, but……
The monster was very ugly, and the people were terrified by the monster.
If Frankenstein creates a beauty like Pandora instead of the ugly monster, maybe people will love him or her, so the story tells us appearance is everything? I think of course not, but it makes me consider that do I pay attention to people’s looking instead of their personalities? I hope not, but I can’t deny it.
And what is beauty? If Frankenstein is a monster like his creature, and other people in the world are also monsters, the creature must be very happy and he won’t feel shamefully or lonely because he is no different to people.
I think we should respect the people who are different instead of hate them.

Uniform-Day; Missing-Friends-Day

Today is uniform-day. So we wear our senior high school’s uniform to class, it’s a little…funny? (Because it’s a thing which is the freshman will do) But, I haven’t worn uniform for a long time (one year) because last year I didn't join this activity. Today I wear the uniform, and it’s so amazing that raises my memories of my senior high school life, my friends (drillmaster limited us, we can’t do anything, like listening mp3. But, my friends taught me hid it in the pocket of our jacket, and the earphone lines will through the pocket to our ears, and hid it by our hairs, it’s a perfect plan ha-ha!), my teacher and the campus, ooh! It’s so……unforgettable, and I miss them sooooo much! I can’t wait! I really really want to see them!

So, when I go back to dorm, I’m desired to tell them how much I miss them!
And they understand my feelings, they also miss me. :)

The Funny Tennis

Last night I went to play the tennis with my Vyona, we practiced first, and then we played together. It’s not easy for me, I tried my best to wield my racket, but the ball was obstinate, no matter I waved the racket fast or slowly, it didn’t work, finally, I did all I can, thought “it must be successful yeah!”, then I beat it, then…..where was the ball? I couldn’t see it! But, I heard my partner laughed, and I was still finding my ball, then she said “it’s in your racket!”, the tennis ball stuck in the throat! It’s so funny! And we both laughed and couldn’t stop!
:D

Being a Translator

My friends, Ruth and Vyona, they are very interesting. Because Ruth is an ABC, and Vyona is an aboriginal, they have some accents when they speak Chinese, and sometimes they say the different things in the same time, it means that I have to listen to two different things when they talk (ex: Ruth: I want to eat some fried things. Vyona: Yeah! We have to go to the class this afternoon!), but they still can talk to each other and didn't notice that! heehee! They’re so cute! And I told them that, they both laughed, and they asked me to be a translator for them! OK, I’m happy for that!
:)

It’s amazing right?

Cosmetic Surgery

There are more and more people want to take cosmetic surgeries. People change their attitudes to the cosmetic surgeries; there are many people support to take operation if it can make them feel better and be confident, but I think we can take more exercise to be more slender and healthier, or change our hair style, but cosmetic surgery is unnecessary, it’s unnatural and dangerous. And I think it’s a little stupid if you want your nose is like someone’s and your eyes are like another one’s and lips are…..if all the people change their face and all of them looks like models, what will it be? Everyone looks alike, they’re all perfect, but the child looks different to their parents, it’s so weird!

I think beauty is a purpose for everyone to pursue, but approve ourselves and like ourselves is the most important thing, we have to know everyone is different, and we are unique, so we have to enjoy it instead of change it!

1. Human beings are not like human beings at all, we can change our materials (eyes, nose, lips… )http://www.psbeauty.com.tw/index.html
2. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5391910.stm if I have a lot of money I will travel around the world (maybe it’s not enough, ha ha….) or help the poor or do some meaningful things instead of take a plastic surgery!

Some love? Much of Love?

French vs. English
Aimer=like, love ; beaucoup=a lot of; bien=good

Today I learned a verb in French class that is “aimer”, it means “like” or “love”, and it can be used at describing our hobby, friendship, and romance. But, the most interesting is when we describe we appreciate someone, we use “aimer bien”; we have a good friendship with someone, we use “aimer beaucoup”, and we love someone, we should just use “aimer”! It’s so interesting because we think “love” must be a lot of love connected with, why do we just use one word?
And what is love?
Maybe love is simple, it doesn’t need anything, so we don’t have to add “much of” or “good” it’s pure, no purpose, no reasons, no rules just love, and it doesn’t need too much, we should leave a little space to keep ourselves. And we can’t understand it except the lovers.

And I like the French conception of love........"Love, it’s unnecessary to talk about, but it’s natural for human beings just like breath, we can’t live without it!"

The Weather Makes Me......Z..z..z.

Ring..ring..ring... the hateful clock alarm rang, oh! I don't want to get up! I don't want to leave my lovely bed! But, I'd better do, otherwise I'll be late in my first class today!

the cool winds flow, the weather is so comfortable for....
last night my friend and i had planned to jog, but we're too lazy to go, i think it's weather, the weather makes us don't want to do anything, just stay in the warm bed!

NO! i can't be controlled by the weather, come on! wake up!!

Assignment:Question3

I think the American culture and the Japanese culture influence Taiwan most deeply
Following are the women and men on TV in Taiwan:

The women (beauty): have well figures (slender bodies, good breasts and hips), beautiful hairs (are usually long hairs), good faces and skins (most Taiwanese think white skin is more beautiful than black). And they’re young. They’re dressed fashion clothes which is famous brand, or some clothes that can highlight the woman’s figure (mini-skirts, mini-pants….)

The men (handsome men): have good figures (strong, muscular), tall, good faces and skins. They’re dressed fashion clothes. Their ages and aren't so important if they looks good.

But, Japanese stars are different from American stars especially the male stars, they’re thin and not tall, beautiful, cute, we call that is the flower like handsome boy; and the female stars are skinny and look cute.

I think the stereotyping of sexual on TV is still being Taiwan but not so obvious, we accept many kinds of people, like the cute flower like boy or the muscular man, women wear mini-skirts, they also can wear loose jeans, they wear neuter clothes, I think it’s very fun, and it’s better than the past.

Assignmen:Question 2

According to the scientific research, men’s brains are different from women’s. For example, women’s verbal skills appear to begin early in life. Studies of children’s behavior have found that girls speak earlier, have larger vocabularies and better at spelling and reading. But, men are systematic; they are better at investigating how a system works, so they like to get deeply involved in activities such as car repair, computing or building up. On the other hand, people will be changed by their family or the environment, for instance, a boy who was born of a ballet family, when he was a little child his parents taught him how to dance and encouraged him to be an excellent dancer; another boy, he loved ballet and really wanted to be a dancer, but his parents told him “you are a boy, don’t do the girl thing! You should be a engineer! It can earn a lot of money!” then he gave up his dream. The sexual stereotyping of job is related to the sex brain and the environment, and family pressure (many women quit her job after got married for her family, it’s unfair!). Now there are more people change their concept of the sex of career, and women’s rights are higher than past, but how to make men and women quality? I think it doesn't mean that women should do as well as men in the same thing, or men should be soft as women, it means that we should understand each other and work together.

Tennis

Tennis is so fun and tough. I couldn’t play it very well, I just ran after the ball again and again, I was frustrated. It was so difficult! Tennis racket was too heavy for my hands to hold, so the racket was unstable, and then the ball flied out and out of control. But my friend played very well, I really want to play well as her, and then play with her. So, I have to practice, practice and practice. I think the day is coming soon!

The Dodge Ball Game

This week is the Foreign Week, so we have many activities. Today we had a dodge ball game; it was so exciting! When I at the infield, I really wanted to went outside because it was so terrible, I didn't want to be beat, I was afraid of that, it must be very hurt! On the other hand, I didn't want to go outside, I wanted to win! But, I was killed at the last moment! Oh! No! I thought the ball couldn't kill me, and then I just stood there, and be killed! Ough! I was a big fool! I swore “I will stay in the infield on second half of the game”, this time I was careful of the ball, and then I stayed inside, and we won! We are the best! Ya! Ya!

It’s really an exciting experience, I’ll never forget!

Just Stride Over the Ditch-Cap

After the karate club, the chief of the club led us to jog in the playground. He said “boys are eight rounds and girls are four, OK? Go! Go!” when I ran two rounds I felt very tired, and I thought I couldn't run anymore! It’s impossible! But, I told myself “don’t give up! Just achieve the fourth ditch- cap (around the playground)!”, then I achieved, and then I told myself “just stride over the fifth ditch-cap”, then I stride over it. Finally, the terminal point was ahead of me, and I use all my power, then I achieved! Uhmm! It’s not so hard. :)

Sometimes, I limit and don’t believe myself because I think it’s too large, it’s impossible!
But, I think if I divide it and finish a step by step, it's possible!

Leave....

Today, the Public Art teacher told us that we have to find a haven for our hearts.
The teacher is a super woman; she is the eldest daughter in her family, so she took all the jobs to share responsibility for her father when he was broke. She believes that there’s nothing to be afraid, and she is happy and satisfied because her parents are healthy, her sister and brother are happy, and their family is happy too, and she has some closed friends, so she thought that everything’s all right and felt happily. One day, she dreamed her mother died and she cried, then she found that her pillow was wet because of her tears, and then she ran to her mother’s room, her mother was shocked and said “what happened?” she looked at her mother and smiled didn’t say anything. She realized that her mental haven is her mother and she asked herself if someday her mother, family, and friends were leaved what she would do. She told that everyone will passed and your treasure will leave, when it’s coming what would you do? She thought she was ready for that.

I’m extremely afraid that, I hope it won’t be happened.
But, …..
When I heard my grandmother told me “Ting(my Chinese name), the time runs so fast! You’re a university student now! You’re growing up!” and her hands through my hairs then touch my face; I moved and felt….sad. When I growing up my grandmother getting older, her memory becoming vestigial; she did a lot of things for us to be more stronger, healthier, but I can’t do anything for her to control the time not run so fast, and don't get old!

I Wish I Can....

My cousin, Shiny, she studied in the National Tsing Hua University, and she went to Japan a week ago for studying in The University of Tokyo (she is the student exchange). She told me that Kyoto was very beautiful. There were a lot of special shop, and the bookstores were old and small, it were unlike The Eslite Bookstore in Taiwan, and there were a lot of delicious food (but expensive). She was very happy and enjoyed her new life. I wish I can go aboard for studies one day like her!

The Quick Lunch

The school restaurants are blocked in every lunch – time. My friends and I often stand on the end of the waiting lines, and we spend a lot of time to wait. We have to make decision (decide the lunch of today) quickly, have lunch quickly, and then run quickly to classroom! Today, we went to the Yummy Café because we thought it maybe more quicker and we didn’t have to wait, then we could go to the office and take the quiz then go to the writing class. But, we still waited for a long time, and ran to the office then had lunch quickly.

I really want to enjoy the lunch with friends in the easeful lunch-time.

Go Home and Don't Back to School!

Last Thursday I went home, my little brother (11 years old) talked to me as soon as I entered the house, and he was happy to show me his new mp3 (he was eager to get one, but my parents didn't buy for him. Finally, they bought for him, and he was really happy). Then we listened the music and my brother said ‘I listen the music every night, so I can sing very well. Listen! La …la..la’ and then we laughed.

Every time I go home, I don’t want to go back to school! Because my family is so sweet, they will prepare a lot of delicious food (my favorite) for me. Then I’ll eat, eat and eat, so it’s not good for dieter! But, I love them very much. They will support me when I really want to do something, they’ll encourage me when I frustrated, and sometimes I feel confused, sad, and angry, they still talk to me until I feel better.

Thank you! I love you! :)

Why?

Last night, my roommate asked me ‘Help me, Freda. I have a date tomorrow evening, but I have no ideal, I don’t know what to wear!'‘Have you said you’re just friend? Why are you so nervous?’ I said. ‘Yes, we’re just friend, but I have no ideal!’ she said. ‘OK, OK, I’ll help you’ I said.
Then we matched this one to that one, changed again and again. Finally, we found the best one, pretty and sweet.

But, this morning, she told me ‘I don’t want to go with him!’ ‘Why?’ I asked. ‘I don’t know. Last time, we were going to see a movie at Taichung, I was so excited, but when the time I had to go, I called him I can’t go.’ She said. Then she continued her soap opera in the computer.

I really don’t know why she doesn’t want to go? If I were she I will go happily.

Is Humanities Education Valueless?

I think the study of humanities is not only necessary but also not waste of time to study. Maybe I can’t be wealthier or get the physical things by studying literature, but I can get the spiritual things, like happiness, understanding and creativity. It can helps me be a thinking person, be more human, not just like a cash machine, has no spirit, just make money. In other ways, I think the humanities education is one of the most important educations, but it doesn’t mean the economics is not important. I think every education is valuable. After all we live in the earth, we need money!

Choose the Freshman

Last night, my high school classmate asked me, ‘Have you choose the freshman?’ ‘Yes! Last night!’ I answered. ‘Is girl or boy?’ he asked. ‘She is a girl!’ I answered. ‘Oh! You’re so lucky! My freshman is a boy, but his name is like a girl! Ooh! I thought he was a girl, but when I saw him, I disappointed extremely! He was a boy! A large boy!’ he said. ‘Do you have your freshman’s photo or blog?’ he asked. ‘Neither’ I said. ‘We (boy sophomore) will ask her photo or blog (to watch her face. If she is good looking, then…) when we choose the freshman, then ask her whether she has a boyfriend or not. If she has a boyfriend, then that’s it! If not, then….’he said. ‘You’re so shallow! It’s so bad!’ I said. ‘Everyone does that!’ he said.

After we talk, I thought ‘Does everyone think so? So am I?
Although outward is important for the first sight, inward is the most important thing to know people.

Bus ticket

I went to get the go home-bus ticket this afternoon (for the holiday). Unfortunately, it was sell out! Oh! No! I was too late! I have to take another bus to home.

This is the second year of college. I think I’m more adapting the new life, and I’m not so eager to go home now. It’s a good thing because I’m already 19 years old, and I have to be independent. It’s time to learn doing everything and solving the problems by myself! I have to be strong!

Sometimes, I miss my family and want to go home, and then I’ll chat with my friends or take exercise with them. It’s very helpful and I feel very happy!

The Body Isn't of Mine

It has been for a long time.
I want to lose weight, but sometimes (recently) I eat cookies; I’m not hungry, but I still eat food (because I want to eat something); I know I have to study and do the homework and do not watch TV (it has already seen before), but I saw it again! Oooooh!
Then I regret it, worried about it, and still done the things that I should do. I know myself, when I feel stressed out, I’ll escape from it, but it’s not the best way to reduce stress.
So, body! Listen!! Listen to me, OK? When we have a lot of things to do and feel very bad, we can take some exercise and calm down, then finish the works. And the worry will be out!

Be happy!!

The Typhoon's Night

Yesterday was a terrible wonderful and special day!
There was no power form 1:00pm to 8: 00 pm in school. When the sky turned to dark, we can't see anything! We can do nothing! It's so boring! So, my roommate and started to play the guitar, and sung the song which we composed. It's very interesting!! Then, we went to buy some food, and we saw every one found cookies and drinks by electric torch in the dark!
When we went back we played the poker, then power was back!!
It's really a special experience!!

Seek Happiness

According to the report (http://tw.news.yahoo.com/article/url/d/a/080905/79/15elw.html) that Bhutan is the happiest country in the world. They seek happiness (GNH) instead of seek money (GDP). There are 97% people feel happy in Bhutan at 2006 A.D. But, children feel unhappy because they have to walk a long way to school, and adult feel unhappy because economy, and there are 60% people feel that happiness is relate to their income in modernizing Bhutan. I was very sad when I saw the report. What is happiness? Where is happiness? Why our smile getting lesser when we grow up? When we know more, we’ll think more, we’ll want more, and be unhappier. Because of we pay much attention on the things that we can’t get, and regardless which we have. Then, we feel upset and think “What a miserable life?” Actually, we should find happiness by ourselves, and it only have to pay attention by the things, people around us, it means we have to pressure and love our family, friends, and ourselves (tell them you love them), and help people, then we’ll find happiness quickly. When I am unhappy for some tiny things, then I’ll remind myself" life is short and happiness is most important after all"!!

Second Life

It's extremely interesting!! I really want to play the game! I've never thought computer games are interesting before. Because I thought it was unreal, maybe I could get treasures (unreal) or some valuable things (unreal) from the computer games, but…it's unreal it doesn't mean anything. However, Second Life is different, I can get not only virtual money but also real money!!
Most cool of all, I think Second Life will teach me a lot of things and help me be more close to succeed in the real life because of that when I fail in the Second Life, I can review myself and consider what is good and bad, maybe try another way is better, maybe do nothing is best, I'll learn what is suitable for me and change my way to a better one. Then when I face to the situation in the real life I’ll calm down and know how to do instead of be anxious and worried because I’d already faced the situation in the Second Life! It just like the pre-life!
